Biography of Principal, James Wyckoff, DHA, APR
Dr. Wyckoff began his career at ad agencies Albert Frank-Guenther Law/FCB, Doyle Dane Bernbach, and Richard L. Doyle Associates before moving to the client side as Director of Communications at College of Mount Saint Vincent, The Hospital for Special Surgery and Olsten Health Services, and was Assistant Vice President of Communications at Columbia University Health Sciences Division (medical, nursing, dental and social work schools) Wyckoff is an award-winning writer and has written speeches for two U.S. Presidents. He was co-author of PRSA’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards, adopted by the 25,000-member organization in 2000. He authored a chapter, "A practical guide to health communication ethics" in the 2nd edition of the Jones & Bartlett text, Health Industry Communication.
He is finishing up a year as visiting assistant professor of public relations at SUNY Oswego.
